Following extensive renovation work in 2024, the lecture hall now combines contemporary, functional design with historic architecture. Hidden design elements have been uncovered and restored,
and the magnificent stucco ceiling has been returned to its former glory.
The deliberately “empty” room can be adapted flexibly to a wide variety of uses. Four media columns on the long walls and two mobile partition walls offer a wide range of functions such as ventilation, lighting, sound absorption, storage space, and much more.
The large windows ensure a light-flooded room, which can also be completely darkened if necessary. In addition to a mobile lectern, the lecture hall also has high-quality microscopes with direct transmission to a large screen.
The lecture Hall can also be used during museum opening hours.
