In the course of an art project in memory of Dr. Johann Gruber at the Private University of Education of the Diocese of Linz, the artist Christian Kosmas Meyer discovered the finds of the archaeological excavations in the Gusen concentration camp, which are now preserved in the Natural History Museum Vienna.

Building on the special exhibition on Moulagen in 2024, larger parts of the collection will now be permanently presented in a dedicated theme room. The moulages not only have a medical-historical value, but also present real diseases – if they cannot be treated for various reasons.

"TWO VIEWS ON PLANTS" is the title of the exhibition, which presents 3D photographic works by the internationally renowned filmmaker, cameraman and photographer Sebastian Cramer. The exhibition uses an innovative form of historical stereophotography. The focus of the project is on plants, which form the central foundation of our physical and physical health.

"Freighted – Verfrachtet" is the title of the exhibition, which was designed by the South African artist Fritha Langerman and sent on tour worldwide. 

The special exhibition "Safe Sex. Comeback of venereal diseases" at the "Narrenturm" provides insight into the history and clinical picture of various sexually transmitted infections. There are also options for prevention and treatment. The exhibition is on view until 18 April 2026.

In exhibitions and museums, the topic is usually addressed from the perspective of adults. In the newly designed permanent exhibition ‘Ice Age Children and their World’, the focus has been placed on the experience of children.
