Mediterranean Great White Sharks

The lecture covers various aspects of the biology, ecology and ethology of great white sharks inhabiting the Mediterranean Sea, including distribution, size, diet, reproduction, and interactions with our species.

The lecture ‘Mediterranean Great White Sharks’ lasts approximately 90 minutes and it's accompanied by many rare and historical photographs. At the end the speaker will answer the attendees' questions.

The talk will be given in English.

Alessandro De Maddalena is a shark researcher, former Adjunct Professor of Vertebrate Zoology, lecturer, author, illustrator and photographer. He authored 20 books and over 100 articles on the biology of sharks. He has hosted over 70 expeditions to observe sharks and orcas, he authored 21 books and over 100 articles on the biology of sharks, and he has also given over 250 lectures at universities, museums and diving clubs in 18 countries.
