When is enough enough?
Dr. Milutin Milenković (IIASA), Prof. Dr. Bernd Resch (IT:U)
And how do we measure it – or find ways to change?
In this two-themed event, we’ll be exploring the role of carbon and climate through the lens of Earth’s forests and how children and young people are learning to be ‘change agents’ in emissions reduction activities.
First, Dr. Milutin Milenković and team from the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) present “Tree Quest,” sharing their digital approach to mapping forest carbon across Europe.
Then, in a hands-on workshop, we examine key climate themes, track past and present changes, before we hear from Prof. Dr. Bernd Resch of Interdisciplinary Transformation University (IT:U) in Linz. He’ll share insights from his Citizen Science project "Climate Agents", in which young people compare climate change perception on social media and in their personal surroundings with measured climate data.
